F*ck yes, we have some kick-in-the-nads screeching fastcore from the Conga Girls and the Conga Boys from Kochi City. Small dogs are running in terror from the raw f*cking C-Beat!! Ohio is chock full of great punk bands and the CRUNKY KIDS show their mettle with straight forward hardcore punk f*cking rock, Painesville style. Buy or eat feces.

Hardcore for rejects, this sh_t rules. ZEMEZLUC are a long running Czech punk band playing the rousing punk rock. Songs about smashing the state and junkie filth.

ZEMEZLUC plays totally unrelenting and nasty 80's style Czech punk, fast and infectious. CRUNKY KIDS are a nasty thrash hellspawn from Painesville, OH.. Noisy, violent, and totally obnoxious. Features some ex-9 SHOCKS TERROR and GORDON SOLIE MOTHERF*CKERS members. (Lien Gray)

Hey, the CRUNKY KIDS play some serious manic thrash, on the noise tip. I read their words and still don't know what they are talking about! Cool. First time I ever heard CONGA FURY, on the Menneskelig Stench Vol. 2 comp, my head blew off, my heart wept like little baby Jesus', and my anus bled. These f*cking bastards kill in painful, small steps. As before, the musical chaos actually is like VOID, but this time they throw in some BORN/DEAD, early C.O.C. and some Pain Of Mind LP-like choruses. The vocalist...her voice is what happens when Seth (PANTY RAID) gets his tits bitten too hard, featuring distortion. In the words of H.P. Lovecraft; this is an indescibable horror. Get this f_ckin' record, and see C.F. on their West Coast tour this July. (Jake Filth)

The CRUNKY KIDS / CONGA FURY split 7" <hibachi-015>

The spirit of Cleveland hardcore lives in the Crunky Kids. Wedge has joined the band on drums. This recording rages as great as the "A is for Angry" ep. The same straight forward scrappy sounding hardcore with real raw production. The distortion fuzz is high, the drums are tripping fast, and Thuggy's vocals sound like a wreckless version of Cliff Hanger (Read a more on the edge version of the FREEZE's singer). The problem is that knowing that Wedge is in the band I can't help hearing 9 SHOCKS throughout this. The opening track "Pedestal" reminds me of "Attack with a Gasmask" so much. Maybe a cross between the FREEZE and 9 SHOCKS is a good way to describe the CRUNKY KIDS sound. CONGA FURY from Kochi City Japan present some incredibly blown out fastcore guaranteed to get even the most jaded scenes moving around up front. This has been recorded in distort-o-rama sound. It reminds me of a cross between EXCLAIM (for the noise factor) and RAZOR'S EDGE (for the get up and go juice). Another way to look at it is to check the t-shirts the bands are wearing VIVISICK and DISCLOSE. CONGA FURY meet somewhere in the middle of fastcore and Japanese d-beat. This record is collaboration between the Painesville and Kochi-City scenes.(Stephe Perry)

The CRUNKY KIDS / BRODY'S MILITIA split 7" (Distort Ohio)
On most split records, one band usually stands...no towers over the other. Not here. Both of these Ohio-native bands destroy this poor piece of vinyl! Brody's Militia rips at a fast as f_ck old' HELLNATION pace (which makes perfect sense as Doug, the old HELLNATION bass player is in BM), but with out the grind moments. The Crunky Kids wail hard, real hard. More fast fast thrash, but TCK's add more of a crust sound to it. This record blazes...buy it or get kicked in the head.

The back cover says "Drunk Angry Thrashing Hardcore" and that pretty much sums it up. Fast and to the point, these ten tracks will peel the paint off yer walls and make you throw sh*t. High-pitched vocals spew as much resigned disgust as anger, and the pace is relentless. Yeah, there's more than a little bit of Cleveland in the mix too. (WN)
